ABOUT D. WISE
Our History
D. Wise Ltd is a family-run business with a rich heritage spanning three generations in the poultry industry. Our story began in 1948 when Douglas and Mary Wise, met at Harper Adams Agricultural College, and shared a passion for agriculture.
Douglas gained valuable experience in poultry farming at Millmoor Farm, which was participating in Silcocks feed trials and developed a deep understanding of poultry husbandry. In 1971, they bought Millmoor farm and renamed it ParkFields Farm.
In 1981, Mark Wise joined the business, bringing strategic leadership honed during his military career. D. Wise (Poultry) Limited was officially formed in 1982.
Over the years, D. Wise has consistently evolved. We diversified into egg products in 1989, introducing pasteurised liquid eggs. In 1996, we built a new EU-approved factory, setting higher industry standards. A commitment to quality and innovation has been a cornerstone of our success, with that in mind we established an on-site laboratory in 1999 to ensure rigorous quality control.
Today, D. Wise continues to grow and innovate. In 2024, we embarked on the construction of a new 9000sqft scrambled egg factory to produce IQF and frozen products.
We are proud to offer a range of high-quality egg products, including scrambled eggs, pasteurised liquid eggs, and develop new products like our premium egg muffin line. D. Wise employs over fifty people from the local area, including seven members of the wider Wise family.

Testing Laboratory
We have the significant advantage of having our own onsite ISO-compliant laboratory, fully equipped with state-of-the-art testing equipment and staffed by skilled technicians. This capability allows us to conduct a wide range of micro-testing procedures internally, ensuring high precision and consistency in our results. By managing these tests in-house, we can respond quickly to any concerns, maintain tight quality control, and ensure that all processes meet stringent regulatory standards. This also reduces dependency on external laboratories, streamlining our operations and enhancing overall efficiency and reliability in our testing protocols.

Charitable Contributions
We support our community through contributions to local charities and initiatives. This includes annual support for the village Christmas Fair, funding for the local minibus (serving numerous community groups), and contributions to the children's playpark.
